Ian has been a Director of shedkm for over 20 years and runs the Liverpool studio with Mark Sidebotham.
Ian is an MMC specialist and has led shedkm’s collaborative portfolio with Urban Splash, including the innovative and award-winning factory-made Town House, Row House and other typologies. Mansion House, shedkm’s first fully timber structure apartment has been incorporated in masterplans in Manchester, Birmingham, Merseyside and Cambridgeshire.
Ian also has significant experience working with existing, Listed, and new buildings, in sensitive and historic locations. He has also worked on bespoke private houses including Rockmount, shortlisted for the RIBA Manser Medal.
Ian has presented shedkm’s MMC work to universities and at industry events. He has also been a RIBA Awards judge.
