Alex has been Director of the London studio since 2014, having joined shedkm in 2003, and leads the practice development in the South.
Working on a range of commercial and residential schemes in the South East, he has particular expertise in the MMC and affordable housing sectors, currently working on a £500 million scheme to design and deliver zero-carbon homes for social housing in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. This contract brings with it the opportunity to provide the highest quality of homes for those most in need.
Alex also champions shedkm’s sustainable design approach for office buildings, through hybrid timber/steel, BREEAM excellent developments in Brent Cross, Bracknell and East Croydon.
Working closely with renowned structural and mechanical engineers, Alex strives to advance shedkm’s design and delivery capabilities to achieve the most environmentally friendly solutions for the places of tomorrow.
Alex has lectured at private and educational events. He is also a member of NLA’s Housing expert panel.
