hazel in the RIBA Journal on ten streets

This month we have concluded our vision for Ten Streets Liverpool through a draft Spatial Regeneration Framework document with HOW Planning, due to go before Cabinet in January.

HOW and shedkm firmly belief in good and innovative placemaking, and using the existing qualities and heritage of a place to its advantage to avoid creating of homogenous and identikit masterplans. We see the Ten Streets area of Liverpool as a unique opportunity to create something new for the City, building on the positive regeneration that has occurred to date, but creating an area with its own identity that can draw footfall, jobs and visitors north from the current city centre core. We hope to have brought a fresh and innovative approach to the area, whilst being rooted in Liverpool’s identity and connectivity to other developments, which can produce a new type of vibrant neighbourhood within the city.
