We are excited to announce the approval of our Jamaica Street project in Liverpool, which will save and bring back to life a significant heritage asset located within the Baltic Triangle. The building will become an aparthotel with rooftop terrace, bar and restaurant area through the conversion and extension of an existing 6 storey warehouse.
shedkm were approached to develop designs for the refurbishment of an existing warehouse, located on the junction between Jamaica Street and Watkinson Street, Liverpool. The site is located within the Baltic Triangle, an area of ever-growing development and forms a thriving and exciting part of Liverpool.
The client, Duncan Birch, would like to re-establish the existing warehouse to form an exciting place for tourists to stay, locals to interact and a place that compliments the character and future vision for the Baltic Triangle.
The scheme will accommodate 50 Aparthotel units of varying shape, size and character, determined by the layout and features of the existing building. The existing brickwork facade is to be retained with an additional 3no storey flat roof extension, clad in weathered metal with exposed steel frame, to compliments the existing finishes and celebrate the industrial heritage of the site.
