liverpool’s commercial business district spatial regeneration framework formally endorsed
Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet has formally endorsed our Spatial Regeneration Framework for Liverpool’s Commercial Business District. The document was prepared by shedkm together with Arup as planning consultant, Rob Burns as heritage consultant and Worthington Owen as property consultant.
The CBD SRF assesses the current commercial status of this significant part of our home city, whilst considering its heritage and emerging development proposals. Our work presents a vision, illustrative masterplan, a number of typologies, development principles and guidance to direct future development and investment over the next 15-20 years.
During the period of producing the document, our Liverpool studio moved to Tempest, a creative workspace in the heart of the CBD area, demonstrating our belief in the potential of the area and vision – we hope that the opportunities identified in our study emerge and contribute to our own growing portfolio over future years too!
