Dave co-founded shedkm in 1997.

Dave previously worked for Sir Denys Lasdun Architects in the 1960's followed by 7 years at Arup Associates. He moved to Liverpool in 1976 and became a full-time lecturer at the Liverpool School of Architecture & visiting tutor at Liverpool John Moores University. It was here were he met and mentored most of his current colleagues.

Dave founded King McAllister Architects in 1990 and built up a portfolio of university building projects including the RIBA award-winning new architecture school.
The merger with Design Shed to form shedkm has led to many more awards and successes across a broad range of sectors. In 2008, he received a lifetime award from the Liverpool Architectural Society.

Dave now lives & works in London, representing the practice & teaching at Ravesbourne College.
