Hazel has been pivotal in growing the practice nationally and champions shedkm’s One Practice ethos through her role as Managing Director. She spearheaded the practice’s expansion to London and supports the Manchester studio in maintaining a consistent approach to design and client service across all studios.
She strives to create deliverable design solutions for large-scale, multi-million-pound, market-led commissions from inception to use. Her ground-up approach to placemaking and regeneration is rooted in a socially conscious responsibility to both existing and future communities, applied across mixed-use masterplans throughout the UK.
Hazel continues to strengthen synergy between North and South. She is a founding member of the Placemaking Collective UK and has contributed to expert panels and built environment boards, as well as judging for events including Festival of Place and the RIBA Awards.
Hazel is committed to mentorship, holding external examiner posts and currently serving as a Visiting Professor at Manchester University School of Architecture and on the Design Midlands Design Review Panel.
