Claire joined shedkm in 2012 and became Lead Architect for the practice in 2021. Having joined at an early stage in her career, Claire’s work reflects and embodies shedkm’s design ethos.

She has led a wide range of projects, with experience across residential and commercial sectors – particularly in retrofit. Projects include Civic in Wigan, Astley Place in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Arthouse in Edinburgh. She has also contributed to residential MMC schemes, Crusader Works, Littlewoods Bunker, and House for an Art Lover.

Claire leads shedkm’s education atelier, supporting the mentoring of early-career team members. She runs in-studio workshops for the RIBA Future Architects Mentoring Scheme and Regeneration Brainery and supports student work experience placements.

Claire is also a mentor with the PLACED Alumni programme.
