Randal joined shedkm in 1999 and worked on the practice’s award-winning Matchworks scheme.

After gaining crucial experience while running his own practice in Chester for ten years, Randal returned to shedkm as Delivery Lead for the House team in 2020, working on the growing portfolio of contemporary housing schemes across the country including House by Urban Splash. He now continues to evolve shedkm’s designs for delivery by various clients.

Randal has had a life-long interest in making and instilled in him is a pragmatism and a desire to understand how things are made. He takes a collaborative approach to delivering projects, considering design and construction challenges from all perspectives while maintaining his attention to detail.

Randal continues to pursue ties with universities and local architectural groups, ensuring a connection between education and industry and the pragmatics of delivery.
