This innovative new workplace fosters creativity, collaboration and productivity, providing office space over 14 floors, plus flexible retail space at ground level. The office, a cornerstone of Brent Cross Town, is designed to reduce embodied carbon by 13%, making it BREEAM Outstanding with 100% renewable energy supply for heat and power.

Our approach emphasises design for well-being. A hybrid cross-laminated timber and concrete structure features exposed timber soffits – scientifically proven to increase wellbeing, as well as softening the lighting and acoustics, to provide inspiring, creative, flexible and collaborative workspaces. Offices have been designed with an expansive double height reception and flexible open floor plates. Generous provision of external spaces includes landscaped terraces and private outdoor amenity at multiple levels, with views out to landscaped parks and beyond to Hampstead Heath. A mono-pitch roof makes a dramatic contribution to the roof-scape and celebrates the gateway to the site.

a net zero carbon town

Brent Cross Town has pledged to deliver a net zero carbon town by 2030, creating healthy working environments and supporting the sustainability agendas of its occupiers. It has partnered with Vattenfall, a leading European energy services company, to provide a reliable and affordable zero carbon heating network, with a view to removing all CO2-emitting sources. Brent Cross Town will also reduce embodied carbon by using cutting edge timber construction technologies in its office buildings.

the arbour

A new eastern station entrance, designed in collaboration with Studio Egret West, creates an impressive welcome to this emerging neighbourhood and opens up access to the lower levels of the two adjacent commercial plots.

Designed with a focus on function whilst celebrating arrival, a 13m high timber structure frames a landscaped ‘green’ entrance space, emphasising well-being and a connection with nature. A central glulam spine supports a simple glass canopy, punctured by apertures which let in natural daylight to support the growth of plants beneath.

“we believe the future of great work lies in collaboration, and that our cities need to provide high-quality space for employees and businesses to come together.”
