Karo joined shedkm in 2025 as Head of People and Culture, shaping the practice’s internal culture and fostering a supportive environment grounded in opportunity, autonomy and inclusion. She plays a strategic role in embedding B Corp values and our EOT structure – ensuring that strong governance, social and environmental values are at the heart of everything we do.
Karo also supports Directors and the new business team in building and maintaining industry relationships and networks. With over 20 years’ experience across the architecture and design sectors, she brings a pragmatic yet warm and inclusive approach, seeing her role as one of stewardship rather than leadership.
Primarily based in London, she works across the Liverpool and Manchester studios to sustain shedkm’s collaborative culture and promote staff wellbeing and development. She works closely with the Practice Manager in Liverpool to help attract and retain brilliant people.
