shedkm has been helping to shape Greater Manchester for over twenty years with award-winning retrofit projects including Kampus, Crusader and New Islington. We are currently working on large-scale regenerative projects at Mayfield, a landscape-led residential development anchored by a new park that is redefining urban living, and Stockport 8 which will deliver much needed housing on disused industrial land, with excellent transport connections to the city.

Our approach has always been immersive and hands on, and as evidence of our commitment to our regional clients and to the next wave of Manchester’s growth and future masterplans, we recently decided to establish a more permanent presence in the city. Associate Director James Spencer is spearheading this move as regional lead from our new base at Carver’s Warehouse on Dale Street, near Piccadilly Station, complementing our existing studios in Liverpool and London, and developing shedkm’s UK-wide reach and ‘one practice’ ethos.

As a certified B-Corp and employee-owned trust, we are committed to leading on the social value agenda, and ensuring our work continues to drive sustainable and transformative change across the region. Having a dedicated studio in Manchester will enable us to develop closer partnerships with clients and stakeholders in the area and maximise the opportunities for positive change.
